What are the running costs?
All our lights are rated 'A', the best for energy efficiency (you get the same thing on washing machines etc.) Our smaller lights work out at about 0.5 pence per hour to run and even our most powerful models only cost around 2.5 pence per hour.
The bulbs fitted in our lights last for approximately 500 hours. This means you could use it for nearly an hour a day for six months of the year, and you shouldn't have to replace the bulbs for about 3 years. Bulbs cost around £12 - £15 and the most powerful lights use 6 bulbs.
Lastly, all our lights have a 3-year warranty. Should you have a problem within that time, we promise to fix it free of charge or offer you a replacement if we can't.

Posted by Anne H, 14:02 23 October 2007The ever increasing cost of fuel bills made me visit this site first. If it is too costly to run, it will be put away in the cupboard after the first electric bill arrives on the door mat.How nice to see a site that actually includes this information. I usually have to go and ask customer services for this type of info. That more often than not gets a negative response. |

Posted by Chris, 11:33 29 March 2008Hi, I bought a Bodyclock Sundray 100 about 12 months ago and the light bulb hase blown already although I see it is supposed to last for about 500 hours. We use it Monday to Friday for wake up and occasionally at night when we go to sleep.
When I bought it I saw that Lumie say a bulb should last for about three years so needless to say I am dissappointed that it has blown so soon.
I can only assume either the bulb I had was faulty to have blown so quickly or Lumie need to revise the suggested 500 hours.
Anyone else had this problem?
